2023 Dr. Cecil Renaud Overseas Scholarship Grants in the UK for South Africans

good news Dr. Cecil Renaud is pleased to give deserving South African students who wish to begin their studies in the UK the Cecil Renaud Overseas Scholarship Awards.

The international scholarship, given each year to one or two students, is given for up to two years of post-graduate study (Master’s degree (or equivalent) or PhD) at an institution of the student’s choosing in the United Kingdom.

What the Cecil Renaud Overseas Scholarship is about
We have given 28 scholarships to the most talented young South Africans since 1994. Students who have received the Scholarship in the past have studied in a variety of subjects at universities such as the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, and the University of London, among others. Only students who finished their secondary education at a KwaZulu-Natal school are eligible for this scholarship. You must also be in your last year of a postgraduate honors degree or a four-year undergraduate program.

Criteria for Entry
Academic excellence is required of applicants, who must have earned or intend to earn undergraduate or honours degrees with a cum laude or summa cum laude designation as well as Dean’s Commendations and Certificates of Merit or an equivalent.
WE ARE Seeking FOR People WHO WILL LEAVE BIG FOOTPRINTS: We are looking for candidates who will significantly affect both their field of study and the globe.

A large portion of the applicant’s secondary education must have been completed in KwaZulu-Natal, and at the time of application, they must be less than 27 years old.
The fellowship is available to postgraduate students at South African universities who have earned or are pursuing an honors degree or a four-year undergraduate degree.FOCUS, COMMITMENT, STAMINA, AND LEADERSHIP EVIDENCE: a solid extracurricular performance history and the will to excel and better South Africa.
ANY AREA OF STUDIES: Former students have read for degrees in many different subjects, such as an MA in Applied Theology, an MSc in Mathematics, and an MA in Singing.
